Help Save Nick's Organic Farm in Potomac

Residents and advocates have questioned the handling of the county's decision to build ball fields, saying it was kept from the public to avoid scrutiny and that soccer fields are not the best use of this land. While this is not a complete victory, extending the lease to August allows more time to show Montgomery County that Nick's Organic Farm is a valuable asset to the community.  This coming Spring 2012, Dea Keen and Sophia Maravell (Nick's 24-year-old daughter), both experienced organic farmers, will be heading up a vegetable operation and educational program on a portion of Nick's Organic Farm. It will be called the Brickyard Educational Farm.  Click here to go to 'Save Nick's Organic Farm' website.
